Kim Van Groningen (Norway).

Another group of students from Norway, another great experience for all of us. After a 3 weeks course now they face their internship (mechanic and kindergarden) plenty of energy and knowing more Spanish than ever!

Jenny and Martin Larsson (Sweden). “This is the second time we were in Sanlúcar de Barrameda to study Spanish with LenguaLuz. The classes are excellent with a good mix of grammar, practice and learning about Spanish culture. Our teacher, David, was very helpful when it came to the region and events during our time in Spain. We are now practically fluent in Spanish and this is thanks to LenguaLuz! We can also highly recommend visiting this region, it is absolutely fantastic with the horses, the traditions, the weather, countryside, beaches, sherry and many other things. Jenny and Martin Larsson , January- June 2011.

Janeth Ulsaker, Kenneth Brannan, Kristian Haagensen (Da Vinci students), Norway.
Here you have the picture of our last trio of Da Vinci students from Norway. At the moment they are working, internship, in different companies in Jerez. Really nice students, wonderful 3 weeks of spanish lessons. Thank you for all these days together.

Camilla Iversen, Mari Hagen and Morten Storlien (Da Vinci) Norway.

Takk for 3 fine uker David. We think that the course was educational and fun, though difficult and frustrating at times. But, all put into one, this has been an incredibly good course. And we admire David for his way of explaining things, and that he is so patient with us. Thanks for 3 great weeks David.

Knut Njaa Norway.

I´ve been with my family in Jerez and had 3 hours of Spanish tuition daily. During the lessons with David I appreciated the cultural information, i.e. we could talk about society and culture. We had time during the lessons to practice talking Spanish. David has a lot of knowledge about history, society and language. Suitable book, also for self-study.Always thought that it was going to be tough but the book that we used as well as David´s work as a teacher made it all much easier. The info about the area that he provided us as well as his attention to my family were really important to keep on learning spanish.

Eva and Siri Dons Norway.

We have enjoyed the lessons with David a lot. Siri is younger, 14, and our  levels were really different but he was able to teach us on a funny  way  as well as many useful tricks to understand the language. He also provided us a lot of info about the area. Definitely he´s one of the best  teacher that we ever had.

Lille Merakerli and Knut   Høiem Norway.

We have learnt a lot with David. We´ve been some times before in  Spain to learn spanish but no one told us about how the spanish people  use the language, it was just the book and excercises. David taught spanish as the spanish people use it and that´s useful. We enjoyed our lessons in Sanlúcar and Jerez as well. Sure we´ll come back.

Reidun Åbotnes Norway.

When I arrived I just knew some spanish and never thought that after some lessons I will be able to speak and be understood. David sometimes stressed me with a lot of info and grammar but then I could learn that this was the best way to learn a language. I´ll keep on learning with David  via Skype.

Mike Tonks England.

David really knows how to teach and I got the impression he knew how I needed to learn before I did very quickly, as a result the goals I set myself were surpassed. When you are learning a language or topping up your knowledge in a very short amount of time like myself you must think location, location, location. What you have learnt in the classroom must be put into practice in the Plazas, Tapas Bars and Cafes and for Englishspeakers Jerez is perfect as nobody speaks a word of English. Therefore you have to speak Spanish, don’t be bashful everyone in Jerez is so understanding in trying to help you. This also means late nights and being a little forceful in getting conversations going, but the people you initially speak to introduce you to friends and I got  known as the English man who is learning Spanish and people could not be more eager to help. This I feel is what learning a second language is all about, every time something I learnt with David was understood by the locals made me eager for more.

Lisbeth Holst-Isdahl. Norway. Workshop for Spanish teachers, didactic course.
I liked the books we worked with. I also liked and found it useful to get some new knowledge about the region and Spain and to revise my grammar – this area really needed some attention. I am also pleased with the ideas and resources I got for my teaching – this I can use, not only for Spanish classes, but some of it for language classes no matter which language. David knew a lot about didactics. I also appreciate David’s suggestions for reading.
The trip to Arcos was nice, and the fact that other small towns were nearby and therefore made excursions possible without spending an entire day.The apartment was well suited to my needs, the location great and so was the landlady. You made me feel welcome and all my needs were taken care of.

Tore, Oda and Egil Heier. Oslo, Norway.

We really appreciated David’s ability to teach us all at the same time, although we are at very different Spanish levels. He has a very good sense of humour, a very broad knowledge of language, society, and geographical, scientific and cultural themes. His pedagogical ability is extraordinary, and his philosophy of teaching Spanish, making it simple, his way of explaining matters in a way that made us understand is very good.
In summertime we appreciated beach activities, concerts, cycle rides, bodega visit, visiting neighbour towns like Jerez, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Sanlucar etc.We stayed in a very nice apartment in Villa Blanca, Chipiona. Outstanding! We recommend LenguaLuz to everyone that wants to learn Spanish in Spain. The region is full of possibilities. Compared to some other regions, this is a very original and nice part of Spain.

Jenny och Martin Larrson. Gøteborg, Sverige.
David teacher and LenguaLuz: We are very happy with our teacher David, he is very competent and has a great sense of humour. We learned so much about Spain and Spanish culture. We liked the books and the disposition of the lessons and were practically fluent when we left. LenguaLuz and the owner Karin gave us excellent service. We had private lessons every week and she was the babysitter for our daughter. She gave us a tour around town and made us feel very welcome! We can recommend Sanlúcar and the region to everyone that would like to learn Spanish. You get to practise a lot since there are few people that speak English.

Leisure time: The area is fantastic for activities. We were riding (if you like horses this is the place to be), kitesurfing or just walking on the endless beach. There are a lot to see and we made excursions to neighbouring towns like Chipiona, Jerez and Medina Sidonia. Seville is one hour away and is one of the nicest places in Europe! Food and drink are cheap and excellent and the locals are friendly. The sun is shining all the time and this also adds to the experience. We found a really nice flat with the help of LenguaLuz. We lived in the centre of Sanlúcar with 5 minutes to the beach and five minutes to the central plaza.
